The Pendleton School and IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida is where the most talented youth athletes on earth meet to study and become champions in their fields. IMG greats include Paula Creamer (LPGA) and Ricky Sanchez (NBA), tennis superstars Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras, and soccer prodigy Freddy Adu. The IMG campus is also the home of the U.S. National Soccer Team, and training facility for Maria Sharapova, Mary Pierce and Venus and Serena Williams.
“In a place that attracts so many bright and talented youth, nothing but the best will do for their education,” says the school’s headmaster. “For our students, who from 46 states and 75 countries, an important aspect of their day and future careers is the skill of effective communication. Starting in Preschool through Grade 12, we use the MUZZY BBC Language Program in several languages.”
“We’re expanding our ‘MUZZY in the Middle’ French and Spanish curriculum because of the results we’ve seen,” says Foreign Language Chair and Spanish Teacher, Stephanie W. “Starting in 6th grade, our MUZZY kids are far more successful and heads above students arriving here who didn’t have MUZZY. Those often-dreaded rules of grammar (that can intimidate most language students) just don’t bother them. MUZZY students have much more intuitive language skills than other kids…The elementary age students who’ve used MUZZY, upon entering 6th grade are so advanced in their productive language skills that they are well above most high school levels.”
