“Penny just adores MUZZY. Since the pace is gentle, we started it before her first birthday,” says her mother. “Unlike some other programming for toddlers, MUZZY Spanish has her full and undivided attention when it is on. She dances whenever the songs come on and gets a huge kick out of MUZZY eating clocks. She will pretend to feed her MUZZY doll clocks (‘relojes’) and laugh her little head off every time.
“Penny regularly says ‘gracias’ at the dinner table like Carlos in the DVD when he is served at the restaurant. Good manners are welcome in ANY language! Of course, when we are eating hamburgers, she mimics the scene in a bit more detail asking me for ‘una hamborguesa, por favor?’
“She likes to count the stairs in Spanish as she climbs down them, something she initiated on her own. She knows the alphabet in English and is beginning to say it in Spanish, too. But the most amazing development in her language learning is tied to letters. She is fascinated with letters and has lately been ‘spelling’ things for us -- almost always in Spanish and English together.”
